If you need even more dirt, there’s a handy +12dB gain switch, to really overdrive the signal. If you want to keep your low-end undistorted, you can switch on the Low-cut filter. A Wet/Dry mix knob gives additional control over how much of the original signal is left in the mix.

Designed with a performance-oriented layout, it has a large knob that controls a seamless high-pass and low-pass filter combination, reminiscent of filter effects found on DJ consoles. This filter is placed after the distortion circuits.
Another performance feature is the filter bypass switch, facilitating instant reintroduction of all frequencies into the mix upon release—a great tool for live performers.

Of course there is CV control over the Low and High cutoff, and the Drive gain amount, so using CV you can also use the module as a stereo filter and VCA.

• A clock with straight and random outputs (yellow)
• An analog noise generator with variable color (grey)
• A bipolar fluctuating random voltage generator (white) with variable rate
• A sample and hold the circuit (orange) with selectable time scale, slow for modulation, or fast for audio sampling up to 34 kHz.
• An 8-bit quantized version of the orange S&H circuit with variable bit depth (red)
• A clock burst section (green).

By default, it outputs bipolar random voltages and triggers. The voltages are fluctuating, stepped, and quantized with selectable bit depth. The clocks are straight, randomized, or “burst”.Once you start patching, you can use it as a S&H, audio downsampled, and bitcrusher, with a sample rate of 30 kHz. All its major parameters are voltage controllable.

Features

• Sample and Hold with an 8-Bit Quantizer – Bagài features two stepped S&H circuits with open input (semi-normalled by default to an analog noise source). The quantized one has a LSB selector that defines its bit depth, from 1 to 8 bits
• Random Triggers & Clock Bursts – Besides the well-known “main,” “more than,” and “less than” modes, Bagài also features a clock burst circuit that creates super fast and unpredictable streams of gates that you can combine with the main clock or to any other trigger you want.

The module is provided with a standard melodica pipe which connects to an air filter (providing a receptacle for condensation to form and isolate the sensor) and lastly connects to the module front panel.

The signal captured by the sensor is then sent to two independent sections with exactly the same functions as seen in the signal flow diagram below.

As an example the two sections can be used with different settings to independently control the VCA and VCF of any standard analog voice patch.

PIPE
We’re using a standard Melodica pipe into an air filter that will keep condensation away from the sensor. The air filter is then connected to the front panel sensor input using a silicone tube.

SENSOR CALIBRATION
[RESPONSE] is the main control to calibrate the pressure curve, the knob goes from exponential to logarithmic with linear at 12 o’clock. Exponential will be more reactive to high pressures, logarithmic to lower pressures.

HOLD FUNCTION
This feature allows to hold the current voltage value with the hold is engaged (button led on), the state can be changed either by the push button in a latching manner (push to change state) or via the gate input in a momentary manner (hold on while gate is on)
